Cantina Valle Isarco 2022 Kerner Alto-Adige

Intensely aromatic Kerner with a subtle and refreshing finish from the Catina Valle Isarco. Despite Kerner’s diminished status in Germany and Austria, it thrives in Italy, notably in the Isarco valley where this bottling is made. The Cantina Valle Isarco is a small coorperative occupying the highest altitudes in this corner of Italy. This Kerner is a bait and switch, attacking the nose with underripe citrus and stone fruit, yet on the palate it feels like biting a granny smith. Love how generous this Kerner is, with its signature notes of aloe and green fruit.
