Ermes Pavese 2023 Blanc de Morgex de la salle

A luminescent white from Europe’s highest viticultural region Blanc de Morgex in the Valle d’Aosta. Grown in ancient glacial soils on Roman terraces, there are few Italian whites that match Prie Blanc’s lift and bouquet. I get underripe orchard fruit, chamomile flower and a little petrol from this medium bodied white. It’s all very complex and nuanced, yet easy-drinking and improves if served close to room temperature. A great pairing with a special piece of fish or roasted white meat and culinary herbs. Serve close to room temperature for this white to fully reveal itself.
