Wine Events

Wine is for everyone, and the joy of learning about this wonderful beverage is best experienced around the table, among friends or colleagues, with a leader to guide the way.

I offer immersive educational wine experiences tailored to small groups for special occasions or work-related events. Tastings are practical and intimate, with maps, informational booklets and a detailed presentation to shine a light on geography, history and the culture represented in the glass. I encourage an open discussion, from newbies to aficionados, where questions are answered and connections made. All events are brought to the home, office or trusted local venue.

The first step is to gauge the tone of your event.

I offer two approaches:

  • DEEP-DIVE

Deep-dive’s are seated educational tastings, where participants are fully immersed in a region, appellation, grape or style. We begin with a tailored presentation, followed by a sensory evaluation and round-table discussion of each wine and how they relate. All levels of wine experience are catered to.

  • SOCIAL

Social-Tastings are a more casual, on-your-feet approach to wine education, where participants are encouraged to engage in a free-form setting. Picture a group of tight-knit friends or work colleagues gathered around a central location, glass in hand, ready to taste a progression of wines.

  • Over the years, I learned the success of a class begins with an above-average selection of wines reflecting the best possible expressions from a given area. This not only includes benchmark wineries, but also smaller producers who are doing amazing things in the vineyard and winery. As such, I have included the line-up of wines from previous classes along with pricing to give an idea of what to expect. All wines are subject to change based on availability and my own assessments.
