Braida 2024 Langhe Nascetta ‘La Regina’ Piemonte
Braida 2024 Langhe Nascetta ‘La Regina’ Piemonte
Braida’s Nascetta is a splendidly aromatic white with bright acidity, textured stone-fruits and a soft herbal finish. A slightly fuller expression of Barolo’s forgotten white grape. The vines are from a joint venture with Fratelli Giacosa planted on the hillsides of Cuneo since 1988. Braida is a benchmark estate in the Rocchetta Tanaro of Asti. Story goes, in 1961, Giuseppe Bologna purchased a small vineyard with the intention of creating a local wine his friends and family and wound up changing the grape Barbera forever! He elevated it to grand-cru status with his barrique-aged Bricco dell’Uccellone, along with a portfolio of wines that celebrate the native grapes of not only Asti, but Piemonte itself.
