Go Ruche, one of Piemonte’s forgotten varietals. Often lean and woodsy, Luca Ferraris is the master of this varietal from the Monferratto hills of Asti, coaxing depth and complex red fruit from its skins. While sharing similarities to Nebbiolo like lean fruit and bright acidity, Ruche carries almost none of the tannins, not to mention its forceful aromatic profile: peppercorns, cloves and a forest-like minerality.
