To contrast the warm weather ahead, lets head to alpine slopes of northern Italy for this collection of wines and non-alcoholic beverages. Begin with my favorite Prosecco Sorella Bronca, a distinct sparkler for its refined palate and addition of aromatic grapes resulting is the prettiest aromas. Then to the extreme western Alpine foothills of Valle d'Aosta for a pure and radiant white from grapes plucked from glacial soils among Europes highest vineyard sites. For our first red, we descend to the valley floor for a chill-able red from Alto-Adige, showing crunchy red fruit and wisps of alpine herbs. We finish with a deeper red from Trentino, from the grape Teroldego, a complex, vibrant and layered red from a legend in Italian viticulture. For non-drinkers, I present Casamara sparkling sodas, dry and complex beverages that don't lean on any sweetness or fruit to achieve a quality drinking experience. The 'Como' channels the mountain experience with alpine wildflower, chamomile and peppermint.
