Bovio 2018 Barolo ‘Rocchettevino” Piemonte

Bovio 2018 Barolo ‘Rocchettevino” Piemonte

Refined Barolo with a high toned and focused expression, Bovio’s single vineyard ‘Rocchettivino’ from the village of La Morra simply shines! The winery has a lighter touch than other traditionalists which perfectly match the characteristics of 2018: fresh with fine tannins and complex aromas to lift La Morra’s softer fruit-driven expression. Gianfranco Bovio is one of Barolo’s benchmark producers. The family farms 8 hectar spread across the communes of La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. They make graceful wines of restraint and site specificity, anchored by a lighter take to the traditional method of winemaking in Barolo.
