Capturing the finesse and elegance of Asili vines, the Ca del Baio ’21 Barbaresco has a wonderfully open and vibrant expression on the outset, evolving over time into a rich mouthfeel with wild berries, charcoal and rhubarb. This wine makes the case for drinking Barbaresco in their youth. From Asili in Barbaresco, a vineyard known for making complex and linear wines with ompft, the Ca del Baio family works traditionally to make unvarnished wines. They do not make bold or big wines, rather they are more delicate and evolve in the decanter into works of art. This wine spends 30 days on the skins and is aged for 2 years in large cask.
