Crisp, clean, frankly surprising bubbles from the Lambrusco territory of Emilia Romagna. Champagne vibes run throughout this house, felt clearly in this glass of entry-level bubbly: soft red hue, wisps of minerals and delicate citrus and strawberry. Gorgeous! Young Christian Bellei, the 4th generation, had visited Champagne in the 90’s and became a fervent follower of the traditional method of making sparkling wine (aka Champagne method). They produce a range of Lambrusco from their home in Sorbara, showing how nuanced and complex these wines are capable of being.
