A stunning alpine blend from super old volcanic soils in Boca, Alto-Piemonte. The 'Rosso delle Donne' is Elena Conti's top wine from this little alpine hamlet at the base of the Alps. The 2017 really delivers with smooth and integrated tannins, toasted rhubarb pie, wild sage and roses. I love how "available" this wine is. Elena Conti is a gem in the area, producing traditionally-made wines that age gracefully for years and years. I first met Elena in NYC and shared my experiences opening her fathers '86 + '89 bottlings. I am so pleased to carry her wines.
