Cave de Mont Blanc 2024 Blanc de Morgex Valle d’Aosta
Cave de Mont Blanc 2024 Blanc de Morgex Valle d’Aosta
Perhaps Italy’s most unique white wine comes from this tiny northwestern corner near the borders of France and Switzerland. This is a very dry, crisp and aromatic white, almost like a melted glacier in the glass, showing under-ripe green fruit and lots minerality. Lovers of Chablis or Muscadet will adore this bright, aromatic wine produced from Prie Blanc grapes Cave de Mont Blancs is a world class cooperative in western Valle d’Aosta occupying some of Europe’s highest vineyard sites near the villages of Morgex and La Salle. They have 80 members with tiny holdings on terraced vines spread across this alpine territory, making up roughly 90% of growers here.
