Francesco Versio 2021 Barbaresco DOCG

Smooth and very approachable Barbaresco from one of the areas rising stars, Francesco Versio. His winemaking skills were honed at the venerable Bruno Giacosa, one of the greats in this part of Piemonte. Although his DNA is traditionalist, this 2021 Barbaresco is a fresh and forward expression from the first glass. The fruit comes from Nieve, an area known for more expansive wines and it becomes noticeable after about an hour breathing. Polished with a modern feel. Decant for 30min and the fruit opens like a flower.
