Franco Pacenti 2021 Rosso di Montalcino
Franco Pacenti 2021 Rosso di Montalcino
Franco Pacenti’s 2021 Rosso is full of spice and personality, from grapes grown along the breezy hills of northern Montalcino. After about 30m open, the loveliest core of red fruit and sage spice emerge to reward the patient taster, yum! Franco Pacenti is a small winery in the northern section of Montalcino around the village of Canalicchio. Rosildo Pacenti purchased the farm in 1962 and produced his first wine in 1966. The family farm is 36 hectar of olive groves and dense forests, with 10 hectar devoted to vines divided into 6 parcels at around 300 meters facing the northeast. Canalicchio has the coolest climate of all the communes of Montalcino with a heavy presence of clay, making refined wines of complexity.
