A smooth yet muscular Barbera from one of Barolo’s great families. They play a finesse game in the glass, with long sinuous tannins, restrained maraschino cherry red fruit and balanced acidity. A recent hit in class! The soft expression of La Morra fruit shines through. Luigi Oddero is a part of a legendary family in Barolo. Along with his brother Giacomo, they led an estate known as Oddero for decades to critical acclaim. In 2010 they split and Luigi stuck out on his own with choice vines in Barolo and Barbaresco. Luigi has since passed, and his wife and son lead operations today. They work 32 hectar of vines organically and employ long macerations in cement tanks prior to aging in large casks. As old school as it gets!
