Luigi Oddero 2021 is a bright and nuanced Langhe Nebbiolo, feeling more like youthful Barbaresco with a touch of age. From one of the brothers of the esteemed Oddero family, they typically work long macerations and aging in cask. This Langhe Nebbiolo sees a brief maceration and is raised in giant casks which shape but never impart aroma or flavor. I love how integrated and mature this feels out of the gate, gaining in body and aroma as it opens.
