Marchesi di Grésy 2020 Barbaresco ‘Martinenga’ Piemonte (375ml)

A beautifully balanced Barbaresco from a top producer in the area. The Gresy family has been making wines of acclaim since the 1970’s on their hill of Martinenga. They produce wines built for aging, in particular the single parcel wines. This is their assemblage bottling, from parcels all over Martinenga. This 202 has a brooding underbelly that only emerges after a little time in the decanter. Dried roses, blue fruit and refined tannins are all hallmarks of Gresy wines and 2020 is no exception. Decant for at least an hour.
