A structured and vibrant Nebbiolo from the village of Gattinara in Alto-Piemonte. This wine showcases polished dark fruit and a silky palate from extended aging in cask. Gattinara is home to old glacial soils where Nebbiolo grapes must work tirelessly to punch through porphyry rocks to reach nutrients for growth, producing aromatic and complex berries. Franchino is a tiny estate led by Mauro and his nephew Alberto, who organically in the vineyard and traditionally in the winery.
