Paltrinieri 2023 Lambrusco di Sorbara ‘Piria’ Emilia-Romagna

Paltrinieri 2023 Lambrusco di Sorbara ‘Piria’ Emilia-Romagna

For years now, Lambrusco has been on the rise in the market, favoring a drier style with pronounced acidity instead of the saccharine fruity wines of yesteryear. Paltinieri is a leader in this regard, making refined bubbly with a farmhouse feel. This Piria is an easy-drinking and fun Lambrusco, showing light bubbles infused with fresh strawberries and mint.

Located near the city of Modena, the Paltrinieri family has been growing Lambrusco grapes for over 3 generations. Their approach is classified as sustainable, with a tendency towards natural winemaking. Oenolgist Alberto Paltrinieri farms 15 hectar of Lambrusco Sorbara and Salamino, mostly from the Il Christo vineyard. Marrying the pale aromatic style of Salamino and the punch of textured fruit from Sorbara, this Lambrusco is soft and balanced, with a light texture; a perfect entrance to these satisfying wines.
