WINECLASS: Taste of Toscana

Tuscany looms large in the world of Italian wine. Its storied history of craftsmanship, architecture and culture are among the main draws for tourists and aficionados alike. Beneath such deep history and prestige, like a strong undercurrent, is a steady stream of quality wines coming from all across the region. What makes these wines special, apart from the quality found in the glass, are the stories of individual perseverance in the face of modernity and tradition alike.

In this tasting, we dive into Chianti, Montalcino, San Gimignano, Grosseto and the IGT Toscana movement. Participants will gain an understanding of geography, soil and grapes, as well as the trendsetters who transformed themselves for the benefit of all: Ricasoli, Biondi Santi and San Guido. We will dive into climate, grapes and history, to learn all about the distinct qualities of each wine in the glass.
